I highly recommend a person owning a few of these. These are wonderful for convenience, travel, and entertaining guests. I frequently cut the rind from half of a watermelon, neatly slice it into rectangular sections, and fill the entire container. After inserting ice packs in the container, the watermelon stays chilled the entire day. It keeps the watermelon fresh and flies or insects will not invade a picnic or party. I have made dried beans using this thermal pot and continue to experiment with recipes. It's a great way removing all of the chicken or turkey from a carcass. The best part is that I do not need to watch the food cook. After merely boiling the carcass for 5 minutes, I quickly place it in the thermal pot and let it continue to cook. Hours later, the meat is easy to separate from the bones and a delicious broth remains. Thermal pots should become more popular as people learn about how functional, convenient, and beautiful these devices are. Of the thermal coolers available, this one offers the best price and the same functionality of much more expensive units.
