West System 105-B Epoxy ResinEPOXY RESIN is clear, light amber, low viscosity liquid. Specifically designed to wet out and bond with wood fiber, fiberglass and some metals. Self-leveling with roller applications. Cures in wide temperature range and can be sanded or shaped afterwards. Relatively high flash point. Excellent adhesive when mixed with filler to reduce sag. Viscosity is approximately 600 cps at 70 degrees F. Recommend #301 mini pumps for accurate dispensing. Size: 0. 98 Gallon.West System 206-B Slow Hardener206 Slow Hardener is a low-viscosity epoxy curing agent for use with WEST SYSTEM 105 Resin when extended working and cure time is needed or to provide adequate working time at higher temperatures. When combined with 105 Resin in a five-part resin to one-part hardener ratio, the cured resin-hardener mixture yields a rigid, high-strength, moisture-resistant solid with excellent bonding and coating properties. Not intended for clear coating. 206 B size hardener is matched for use with 105 B size resin.
The 105 Epoxy Resin (105-B) is the base material on which all WEST SYSTEM 105 System epoxy compounds are built. It has excellent structural bonding properties when combined with the 206 Slow Hardener (206-B) at a 51 ratio.
The 206 Slow Hardener (206-B) is useful when extended working time and cure time is needed. It produces a slow cure that develops full strength at room temperature over 1-4 days.
This bundle is easily modified with WEST SYSTEM fillers, additives and pigments to suit coating, fiberglass, structural bonding or fairing projects.
The cured 105/206 epoxy is a high-strength, rigid, moisture and vapor resistant solid with a working time of 20-25 minutes at 72°F when mixed.
This epoxy cures at temperatures as low as 60°F and will cure faster at warmer temperatures for flexibility based on your project needs.
These resins always work quite well and it seemed convenient to order through Amazon versus picking it up at West Marine as usual. The packaging was so flimsy and they're lucky the resin can didn't break and spill all over their delivery vehicle as it was quite crushed. I was able to bend it back into shape and make it useful, but a little diligence in packaging would have been nice.
