I was quite surprised on the efficiency for this item. But first, I MUST say, I can't cook!!!!! Really. But with the instructions, I cooked a PERFECT pot of rice. I makes a fair serving for one-two. It will even keep the rice warm which is a very handy/nice feature. I use it quite often for different rice-types w/o any errors! Clean-up is a breeze as this tiny pot stores almost anywhere. I keep mine in a small clear bag so that all of the parts are always in the same place when I need it. (MY FAULT: I bag the components for this pot because I like it & do not plan to buy another! So the baggies is needed when ricer components are coming out of the dishwasher. This ricer has a very small glass top that's easy to miss. The black inner container is so unassuming that it can be mistaken for a cup/bowl to be stored where no one will ever find it. The rice measuring cup is even smaller. So keep the parts together! It's well worth the effort.)
