Makes my six seem, uh, normal!OK. If you loved the food at those, what was it, Country Life restaurants, this is the kind of food you will get from here.I did like the food.And I like the fact that she gives a range of times, depending on how fast or slow your slow cooker is. One of mine is really very fast. Another works best if everything is heated before it's put into the crock.But what I really use this for is her directions for baking bread. Since I don't have an oven, use slow cookers for three quarters of my cooking, I'm tickled pink.If you remember to put a towel under the lid, you can even get a pretty fair crust.I would, however, recommend that you let your dough sit in the cooker for a little bit (fifteen minutes seems to be plenty) and then turn it on low. Gives the bread plenty of time to rise.
