The 30 Day Whole Food Slow Cooker Challenge cookbook claims to be a cookbook that follows the Whole30 guidelines. The introduction includes a summary on the Whole30 diet and lists foods that fall into Whole30 complaint and non-compliant categories. After perusing the book, I found off-limit ingredients such as chickpeas and corn. One recipe titled "Creamy Dreamy" is a soup that does not have cheese listed in the ingredients, however, on step 5 of the directions states "Stir in salt and pepper to taste; add in the cheese...". In addition to poor editing, the book is riddled with grammatical and punctuation errors. Lastly, three entire chapters - salads, smoothies, and desserts, are not slow cooker recipes.I don't recommend this book if you are looking for recipes that are Whole30 compliant or are strictly slow cooker recipes.
