Whether you need to live gluten-free or just want to eat healthfully, the authors have written a book that will easily become your "go-to cookbook" for everything from family meals to dessert. I've never owned a slower cooker, but this book prompted me to buy one. (The book even provided criteria that helped me select the best slowcooker for me.) Each of the recipes are creative, yet use economical ingredients you probably have in your pantry. And you can customize the recipes with just a tweak; all the recipes are gluten-free, but with some minor adjustments (which are given), they can become dairy-free, as well. So far, I've made the Moroccan Chicken with Potatoes and Carrots, the Butternut Squash Risotto and the Almond Granola with Dates and Coconut. The recipes turned out beautifully, since the directions are clear and fool-proof. Throughout the book, there are highlighted boxes which provide more information about specific ingredients, and there's even a chapter devoted to vegetarian meals. I give this book "two thumbs up!"
