Bought one for my daughter and she liked it, so I bought one for myself.DON’T use Pam or sprays on this, I dab a little avocado or olive oil on the surface and waffles have Never stuck.Pam and other spray on oils will ‘damage’ the non stick properties. There isn’t a beep to signal it’s up to temp or the waffle is done like my old Black and Decker Sweetheart maker but it’s under $20.00 and works for us.I put one on my hubbys plate and by the time he’s put butter and syrup on, my waffle is ready. It cooks very fast so I do them one at a time and we always have crisp hot waffles.I love my waffle iron great addition to the kitchenOmg, if you’re making Chaffles you’ve got to get one of these! I use it nearly every weekday morning for my husband. It’s simple, does the job and amazes me every single time. I get more and more creative with my recipes and even if my recipe fails, it never does. For the price, I can’t say enough good things about it. Liked it so much I got the mini grill and the 8” griddle too. What a great product for simple quick tasks. Here’s a recipe I created that’s tasty, pretty healthy and fast!Peaches & Cream ChaffleIn a small bowl add:-1 egg (beaten with small whisk)-1 Tablespoon of Almond Flour-1/2 tsp baking powder (little shy of full)-1 small pinch of salt-Couple short shakes of Cinnamon-Handful of whole walnuts broke into chunks and then add those to the egg mixture (optional).-Very small capful of vanilla (just shy of full)-1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese(and 1/4 reserved to top)-Philadelphia Cream Cheese - softened, creamed or whipped type). Cream cheese is optional but delicious. Spread to your taste on “cooked” chaffle. In a separate microwaveable bowl, place about six to eight, nice sized, sliced cling peaches (frozen or canned in their own juice). You can chop if you prefer. Dot with butter (about 2tsp) and sprinkle cinnamon over peaches to your taste. Add about 1 tablespoon or more (your taste) of light brown sugar (or monk fruit substitute). Heat until melted and well warmed in the microwave and until it caramelizes a bit (it will). I recommend about 2 minutes at half power, stir well, and then another minute to 45 seconds at full power. Depends on frozen vs fresh, and your microwave. You don’t want to make this too runny so don’t add extra juice unless you like it that way.Heat the waffle iron and when it’s hot spray with your choice of cooking spray (I use Ghee).I use a large stainless tablespoon to spread the batter on the bottom griddle. I start in the center of each section moving the mixture out to avoid it running over the sides when the waffle iron closes. Once spread evenly, top with remaining mozzarella cheese and close the lid.Cook until light goes out. I do a minute or so longer if I see when I open the lid that it looks like it could go a tad browner (up to you). Remove chaffle and place on a paper towel. I let mine cool a minute or so and then spread with cream cheese. Place the peaches over the top of one half and then fold the other half over the top to make a sandwich - or just lay it out flat if you’re eating at home. My husband eats this on his way to work so I make it like a sandwich, and wrap in wax or parchment paper (paper towel works well too).Enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea!I liked the item, it was easy to use and absolutely non-stick. Problem, it gets screaming hot and needs to be continuously watched because it cooks so fast. I have the mini and it does great. Liked the size of the waffle with the larger machine and the ease of cleaning. I really wanted to love it like I do the mini one, but I could not justify the risk of it being so hot.I love this waffle maker! Honestly, I was super sad when I had to get rid of my old one. It was given to me by my mom and was vintage looking. But this one is a great replacement ?We love it and have been enjoying lots of waffle breakfastsThere is no drip pan for this waffle maker.I liked that it browns evenly on both sidesI bought this for my daughter. She makes her own waffles now. I gave it only 3 stars to clean because I can’t just throw it in the dishwasher. My daughter gives it 5 stars cause I wash it for her. LolI dislike that I have wasted £94.17 on an item I cannot use. I dislike that the level of customer service is shocking. I dislike that it certainly is not value for money and is not fit for purpose unless I lived in a different continent - very disappointed. I’m not able to rate ease of use or easy to clean as it is unusable.Originally I wanted the mini Dash, but I missed a great sale price on it and when I went to purchase it, I saw this full size one was on sale so I decided to try it instead. I received it and actually ended up having to exchange it due to a small chip out of the coating. Second one came in and I have been using it almost everyday for the past couple of weeks. The couple of recipes that come with it are delicious! The cinnamon roll waffles and icing recipe is so addicting! I've also tried it with just store bought pancake/waffle mix. Both worked great.I was going to order the small one because it was Eggo sized. My plan was to make and freeze them for the kids. I've tried freezing them and what I have found with the whole size, is that half the waffle ( two triangles) is about the size of an Eggo. So I freeze extra's I have in half. Then I reheat each triangle in the toaster. (only 1 fits in a slot)So it's a little awkward to reheat them, but doable. I don't make a lot ahead like I had planned though because it is time consuming if trying to make a big batch. Easier to just make a few at a time, fresh. The waffle maker itself has a nice sleek design. It doesn't take up much space. It's super easy to use. Just plug in, let it heat up and pour your batter in. There is a button/clasp that holds it closed while it cooks. I did find that you have to be super careful to only touch the plastic or you will burn yourself! Also, I've had a couple times where it has gotten stuck on me and been hard to open. To be honest, I think it's only happened during times when the batter has seeped into the overflow. It just makes it too fluffy and full to close properly, so that's my mistake for pouring in too much batter. The absolute worst part for me is cleaning it afterwards. No removable plates suck! I mean, there's a lot of waffle makers out there that are the same though, so I can't blame Dash for that. I've stuck to waffles for now because of that. Easier to clean up by just wiping it down. I tried a chaffle once. It cooked it fine, but took me forever to clean it up afterwards. Not really wanting to do that again.Overall for the price I paid (If you can find it on sale) was worth it! Hoping it lasts! If I see the mini Dash on sale again, I may pick up one of those too! Big waffles have there time and place though and I do love it!I love this little waffle maker! It matches my Dash toaster so well! Waffles are perfect every time, so easy to use. I find it a bit tricky to clean though. I wish the grills were easily removable for a thorough clean up once in a while. I use cooking spray and follow the directions. Perfect waffles every time, or should I say Chaffles!I was hesitating because usually these appliances are a pain in the arse to clean and as a result get tucked away in the cupboards to rot. Waffle makers have feelings, too.Good thing this waffle iron is going to get all the loving. Super easy to clean, just don’t be a donkey and over pour the batter. I use a ladle and I’ve gotten it down to an art.My son loves waffles so much I’m going to make a years worth of waffles and freeze them. If anyone has a deal on another chest freezer, holla at me.Lastly, at this price, you’d be foolish to not tip a few into your cart. Get that birthday Or Christmas gift outta the way! Or gift it to a waffle lover and change their life.
